‘Zilte’: the taste captured

Restaurant Zilte is a place of wonder and experience. Recently, Viki Geunes’ two-star store reopened on the other side of the MAS in Antwerp. A move that was accompanied by a totally new vibe: a different interior and panorama, a modified name – ‘t Zilte became Zilte – and, of course, printed materials that fit perfectly into that setting and atmosphere.

Two-star level service should be tasted in every aspect, including printing. The recipe for this came from our print expert Valérie and Philip Hendrickx of the agency Unikavi – Brand builders. They served up a total concept that translates the finesse of the restaurant very nicely into various tools such as menu and wine cards, business cards, gift cards and matching envelopes.

Viki Geunes:

For us as Zilte, it was very important to combine the right materials with each other. Every detail needed to be coordinated in our new concept. Similarly, our menu and wine lists, after dinner pocket squares, … were developed entirely in a new form. We called on UNIKAVI – Brand Builders for this entire new corporate identity, translating our new vision into a new logo, website … to printed matter they understood like no other.

After an intense creative collaboration, we obviously needed to take on a printing company as a partner. On the recommendation of UNIKAVI, we took the decision to take on this challenge with Buroform. From the first meeting, we felt that we were on the same wavelength. The more complex tailor-made printing certainly did not put them off; on the contrary, they were always thinking about how it could be done even better to offer just that little bit more experience. A constant evaluation between us as three parties created this wonderful final result.

Valérie: “The printing of the lime paper was provided on the inside so that we obtained a sand-grain effect. Then the lime paper was very carefully sewn into the card with gold thread.”
