Frederic Van Grootel

Photobook

Dualidade

After a five-year wandering in Brazil, Frederick Van Grootel released the beautiful Dualidade, a coffee-table book in which he records both the beauty and fragility of the land of Samba. For printing his images, the photographer wanted high premium quality. That’s why we chose Magno Matt paper from Antalis Paper with him. The photo series consists of both black-and-white and color images. Moreover, he works with a lot of contrast and then this type of paper is perfect. It lets the photos speak for themselves and gives extra depth to the print.

About paper

Munken Polar Rough has an uncoated and particularly tactile surface, providing a very natural paper feel. Moreover, we chose a bright white color, which makes the images stand out even better. In addition, this paper type is perfectly suitable for offset printing, making it the ideal basis for various types of printing techniques. Blind embossing was chosen for this book, which in dichotomy with the paper creates a very sophisticated effect.
