Over the past few weeks, you may have already seen a few glimpses of our latest addition, but now it’s truly official: our LE UV offset printing press has been installed and is ready to roll! What does that mean for your print work? We’ve summed it up for you right here.
One of the biggest advantages of this printing press: lightning-fast ink curing. With a traditional press, we usually apply a transparent coating or anti-set-off powder as an extra protective layer to help the ink dry faster. That’s no longer necessary. Thanks to the innovative LE UV technology, the ink is cured in the blink of an eye, allowing the printed sheets to be finished immediately. Speed and efficiency: check!
It’s not just the rapid ink curing that boosts efficiency. The LE UV offset press operates almost entirely automatically — that’s what’s called “Push-to-Stop”. This technology means our printers need to intervene far less often, allowing continuous production without interruptions. Shorter set-up times, reduced waste and major time savings: we make sure your order is handled faster than ever!
Speed is one thing, beauty is another. The rapid curing process ensures an unmatched print quality. In a traditional drying process, some of the ink always seeps into the paper, causing colours to lose their strength and sometimes appear slightly dull. Not with LE UV curing. There’s no ink absorption, which means the colours are much deeper, stronger and brighter. The colour contrast is far more pronounced, making your print work truly shine!
Whatever paper you have in mind — coated or uncoated — almost anything is possible. Printing with LE UV offset works on an impressive variety of materials: from high-grammage to lightweight paper, and even uncoated stock. Nearly everything can be printed. So feel free to think outside the box and let your creativity run wild!
Offset or digital? Which option is best for your project? That depends on several factors. For smaller print runs, digital printing can be more cost-effective — and you’ll still get beautiful results. The difference from offset printing is barely noticeable to the naked eye. So when do we recommend offset? For larger print runs such as books, magazines, catalogues and posters, it’s an absolute added value!
