Naomi and printing? It’s pure love. She has been working in the graphic sector for 22 years, 10 of which as a freelancer. Some also know her by the name NOOOMI. She joined our team as an account manager in May. Paper, printing techniques and everything that comes with it: she can talk about it for hours. But hey, especially for you, we kept it to the essentials this time.
How did you end up at Buroform?
It was actually a bit of a coincidence! I was at Kelly’s to discuss a file. During a chat, she suddenly asked if I would be interested in joining the team. At first, I thought, ‘Huh, me? Really?’ But when Jesse came up with a concrete proposal, I started to think about it seriously. And look, here we are today!
Do you have a morning ritual?
Yes! My morning coffee is sacred. Sometimes I drink it in bed, sometimes at the kitchen table. Then: a quick shower and make-up. Ready to go.
When are you most proud at Buroform?
I consider myself lucky with the smallest things. But perhaps the best thing is that I ended up in a team of print freaks who are just as crazy as I am!
What if you hadn’t become an account manager?
Then I would definitely still have been a print manager. Or I would have started a vintage shop. That’s one of those vague dreams that sticks with you.
What is the best career advice you have ever received?
There are actually several pieces of advice. But the most important one is not to deny yourself. Always make sure you stand tall. I haven’t always done that, and it taught me that working against your own nature is the fastest way to burn out. So, respect for yourself is the basis.
