Make an impact with your exhibition stand

12 November 2024 /

The Mechelen Business Contact Days are behind us, and we can look back on a particularly successful participation. What stood out most for us? The power of an attractive exhibition stand. How did we build an effective and targeted stand? We worked with three basic principles, which you can also apply to your next exhibition stand!

Create an eye-catcher

Our stand was a real attraction. The smell of fresh waffles meant that visitors almost automatically stopped to take a look. We handed out no fewer than 160 notebooks to visitors.

Generating leads

The goal of every stand is to expand your network and collect leads. You do this by collecting data in a creative way. We built a small room out of reboard cardboard with a laser machine, computer and colleague who personalised notebooks for visitors throughout the day. The compact room resembled an automatic machine, which naturally generated a lot of excitement!

The process was simple: visitors chose the colour of their notebook, entered their name, and within seconds a personalised notebook with their name came out of our “machine”. Personalised printed matter always goes down well. People like to receive something that has been made especially for them. The reactions to the notebooks were therefore overwhelmingly enthusiastic.

Practice what you preach

Apart from our waffles, literally everything was made of paper. Show your visitors what you can do!

Forget-me-not

Generating leads is one thing. But you also want those leads to remember you later on. Thanks to the notebook and numerous other goodies, our printing company will remain top-of-mind for a long time to come. Reason one: the printed matter is personalised with your name. You don’t throw something like that away easily. Reason two: the notebook was beautifully finished, with a linen cover and a coloured section in the middle. It embodied everything our printing company stands for: high-quality printed matter with that little bit extra.

Our stand was a combination of a 3D waffle stand, a machine that personalises a notebook in 20 seconds, and a bookcase full of beautiful books. We put a lot of time, energy and creativity into it, and the positive reactions we received were a great reward.

During this edition, we had many interesting conversations and made valuable new contacts. There was a great deal of interest in our innovative printing techniques and our BAAS brand portal. Personal contact proved to be invaluable in this regard.
