Business cards for Ruth Van de Steene: A tactile experience

Ghent-based writing prodigy Ruth Van de Steene was looking for a distinctive and tangible look for her business cards. Thanks to her collaboration with designer Larah Lezy, she knew exactly how to go about it.

Ruth has always had a preference for uncoated, rough paper types, and this preference is also reflected in the products she carefully creates and sells in her own ‘woordenwinkel‘ (words shop.)

She has a particular fondness for tactile products, which is why she opted for blind embossing that fits seamlessly with her story. The business cards were carefully printed on Fedrigoni’s warm yellow Sirio Color Rough Milkshake paper.

The design of the business cards is professional and slightly playful. Larah added an extra element by placing text in brackets. This idea originated from the briefing document in which Ruth had provided Larah with the desired information for the cards, with additional comments in brackets.

Ruth’s business cards are a tangible expression of her creative spirit and her pursuit of a gentler and more sustainable life.
