Belgium has always been a country of great artists. One of them is the late Christian Dotremont, co-founder of the famous avant-garde art movement CoBRA and inventor of logograms – a kind of graphic poetry. A man with an important cultural legacy, then, who is now being brought back to life thanks to Samuel Vanhoegaerden of the gallery of the same name in Knokke. He approached us to create an extensive catalogue that beautifully showcases 130 logograms by the artist/poet.

About paper
To perfectly showcase the poetic value of the images, we chose Extramatt Touch by Mohawk. This is the world’s first uncoated paper and is quite rough, making it very easy to handle.
The cover, on the other hand, is made from Wibalin Cotton White, a paper that beautifully highlights the brushstrokes in black foil. It gives the book a very artistic look, especially in combination with the sewn binding.
